How to care for amalgam urns.

Amalgam urns are cast bronze memorial vessels. Like bronze sculpture, they are exceptionally durable and will develop a rich patina over time when cared for properly.

Amalgam Urns
The cremation compartment is sealed and integrated into the form, so the piece lives in the home as sculpture. Care is similar to bronze sculpture, with a few additional considerations for the vessel interior.
Day to day
- Dust with a clean, dry cotton cloth, such as an old T-shirt.
- Place in a stable location where the piece is unlikely to be bumped or frequently handled.
Never
- Brass or copper polish — they strip the patina permanently.
- Citrus, vinegar, ammonia, or any acidic cleaner.
- Salt air or outdoor exposure without a written plan from us.
